Pine Grove Youth Conservation Camp Walkaways Captured

3-28-14 Pine Grove - Two minimum-security wards who had walked away from Pine Grove Youth Correctional Center in Amador County have been captured. Wards Rayevon Owens, 19,  and Keishon Coilton, 18,  left Pine Grove on the evening of March 26. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) Office of Correctional Safety (OCS) was immediately notified and began the search.

Owens and Coilton are from the Stockton area and were separately captured there. On March 27, OCS agents captured Owens at the home of his girlfriend. Owens was taken to N.A. Chaderjian Youth Correctional Facility in Stockton. OCS captured Coilton today at a home in Stockton and he was also taken to Chaderjian.




Owens was serving time for Burglary and Grand Theft, Coilton for Robbery. Both Owens and Coilton were committed to the Division of Juvenile Justice from San Joaquin County.

Pine Grove Youth Conservation Camp is part of CDCR’s Division of Juvenile Justice. It screens and accepts low-risk classification youths from other DJJ facilities. Training is provided by CAL FIRE and youths are certified to engage in wild land firefighting operations.
