...HEAT WAVE OVER INTERIOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA THIS WEEKEND AND INTO
   NEXT WEEK...

* IMPACTS: CHILDREN...THE ELDERLY...AND PEOPLE WITH CHRONIC
  AILMENTS ARE THE MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO HEAT-RELATED ILLNESS. PETS
  AND LIVESTOCK ARE VULNERABLE TO HEAT ILLNESS AND SHOULD BE CARED
  FOR PROPERLY.

* TEMPERATURES: IN THE VALLEY...HIGH TEMPERATURES OVER 100
  DEGREES FROM FRIDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. HOTTEST DAYS MONDAY AND
  TUESDAY WITH HIGHS FROM 105 TO 112. OVERNIGHT LOWS MOSTLY IN THE
  MID 60S TO MID 70S. IN THE MOUNTAINS...WIDESPREAD 80S AND 90S.
  OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE 60S TO MID 70S.

* HUMIDITY: MOISTURE MOVING UP FROM THE SOUTH WILL MAKE IT FEEL
  SOMEWHAT MUGGY AND MORE UNCOMFORTABLE THAN NORMAL.

* THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL: AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS
  POSSIBLE OVER THE SIERRA NEVADA AND SOUTHERN CASCADES MAINLY
  EARLY NEXT WEEK.
