Died May 14, 2013 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom


29, of Hesperia, Calif.; assigned to 63rd Ordnance Battalion, 52nd Ordnance Group, Fort Stewart, Ga.; died May 14 in Sanjaray, Afghanistan, of wounds caused by an improvised explosive device. Also killed were Army Spc. Mitchell K. Daehling, 24, of Dalton, Mass., and Army Spc. William J. Gilbert, 24, of Hacienda Heights, Calif.

Died May 15, 2013 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom


33, of Oakley, Kan.; assigned to 530th Military Police Battalion, 300th Military Police Brigade, 200th Military Police Command, U.S. Army Reserve, Belton, Mo.; died May 15 in Kandahar, Afghanistan, after drowning while attempting to cross a body of water during combat operations.

Died May 16, 2013 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom


22, of Sinajana, Guam, assigned to 1st Battalion, 294th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Fort Juan Muna, Guam; died of wounds caused by a car bomb May 16, in Kabul, Afghanistan. Also killed in the incident was Army Sgt. Eugene M. Aguon.
