CHP SAN ANDREAS FROG JUMP STATISTICS
San Andreas, CA – Between May 18th at 12:01 am to
May 20th at 11:59 pm, the San Andreas CHP handled 2 traffic
collisions, both were solo vehicles, one was a motorcycle, and none of the
collisions were DUI related. However, there
were 2 people arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
Saturday, May 19th we brought in the Valley
Division CHP RAID (Rapid Apprehension of Impaired Drivers) team which is funded
by a federal grant. Their presence during
this event has brought our collision statistics from a high of 18 in 2006, to
this year being the lowest with 2 collisions.
Our DUI statistics have gone from a high of 32 arrests in 2007 to this
year with a low of 2 arrests.
