'Fill the Boot' for the Food Pantry a success

The Copperopolis Fire District Firefighters and volunteers turned out in force on May 28, 2011 to host their annual 'Fill the Boot' for the food pantry.
The final count for this year was $2,205.00.
In previous years that would hae be equivilant to 1/4 to 1/3 of the annual budget for our local food pantry.
During these tough economic times this money goes a long way to helping local people in need.
Father Jim Stout of the Church of the Acension was on hand for the event and excitedly called with the total; touched again by how strong our community is, how giving and caring.
